Job summary

Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS) seeks Psychological Assistants at Stein Forensic Hospital in Las Vegas to support competency restoration services under a licensed psychologist.

You will conduct testing, evaluation, counseling, and develop behavioral plans in inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to supervise trainees and contribute to court testimony.

Qualifications

• Must have an active doctoral psychology internship or certificate at time of application.
• Forensic/ clinical experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of ethics, testing, and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological testing, evaluations, and behavioral assessments in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessments as needed.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy under supervision.
• Participate in treatment planning and case conferences with an interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with trainee supervision and APA NV-PIC internship activities; may provide expert testimony when appropriate.
