Salary range is $4,051.80–$4,254.39 weekly, reflecting specialized forensic work and multidisciplinary care requirements. The candidate will conduct assessments, provide psychotherapy, and collaborate with the care team while meeting licensure and APA-accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program or equivalent recognized for licensure eligibility.
• Clinical experience with forensically involved individuals with mental illness.
• Strong knowledge of ethical standards and psychological principles.
• Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and psychotherapy; experience with testing instruments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and behavioral assessments to support treatment planning.
• Provide psychotherapy and interventions aligned with individualized goals.
• Administer, score, and interpret psychological testing instruments as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.

Requirements: Experience as a doctoral degree psychologist working with forensically involved individuals with mental illness; Doctoral degree in psychology (e.g. Ph.D., Psy.D.) from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or an equivalent accrediting body recognized by the Virginia licensing board, as required for licensure eligibility; Comprehensive knowledge of psychological principles, practices, and ethical standards; Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and psychotherapy; Proficiency in the administration and scoring of basic psychological testing instruments; Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary treatment team; Strong crisis management skills; Ability to present/testify well in court; Previous basic computer skills (word processing, computerized test scoring, etc.)
