Job summary

Funk and Associates seeks a Contract Psychiatrist for a state correctional facility in San Diego, CA. The role is a full-time, in-person assignment with 8a-4p hours, potential for a four-day week, and a 6- to 12-month relief contract.

You must hold an MD or DO, CA medical license, CA DEA, BLS, and have at least 12 months of adult psychiatry in the last three years; familiarity with Cerner EHR is preferred. No visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• MD/DO is required.
• Board certification in psychiatry (BC/BE) is required.
• Active California medical license is required.
• Active California DEA license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• At least 12 months of adult psychiatry experience in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• This is a forensic/forensic-admits setting; duties include evaluation and treatment of adult patients in a correctional facility.
• Provide psychiatric care with a focus on forensic patient care within the CA correctional system.
