Responsibilities

• Collects detailed forensic assault history and assesses injuries.
• Conducts and documents a forensic examination.
• Collaborates with ED staff, advocates, social workers, and law enforcement.
• Provides community referrals for violence survivors as needed.
• Follows up post-discharge to address ongoing care needs.
• Testifies in court as summoned.
