Job summary

Pete Fowler Construction is seeking an MEP Technical Analyst to closely support our Testifying Expert and learn systems to develop fast, cost-effective solutions for building problems across commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This role combines hands-on electrical/construction knowledge with a path toward forensic consulting, expert witness services, and advanced project management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, with emphasis on electrical systems, general contracting, or construction engineering.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Electrical/ Civil Engineering, or related discipline. MBA aPlus.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, and electrical single-line designs.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable information.
• Proficient MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and online research tools.

Responsibilities

• Mentorship & Expert Support: Shadow the Senior Expert on active cases across commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
• Assist in research and preparation of forensic analysis for contract disputes, personal injury, and construction claims.
• Attend site investigations with senior team members to inspect structures and systems.
• Document site visits with photos, notes, diagrams, and checklists; prepare inspection narratives.
• Review and summarize construction documents, contracts, change orders, and daily logs.
• Research building codes and industry standards (NEC, IBC, NFPA, IESNA).
• Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and remediation cost comparisons.
• Produce forensic reports and presentations under guidance of the expert.
