Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join Whiting Forensic Hospital in Middletown, CT. The role focuses on ambulatory and inpatient care within the Ambulatory Care Services unit and is designated Hazardous Duty.

Key duties include clinical assessments, prescribing medications, and care coordination for medically complex patients.

Qualifications

• Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
• Ability to prescribe medications and provide advanced nursing care.
• Experience with clinical assessments and treatment planning is preferred.
• Familiarity with state and federal health care regulations is required.
