Job summary

ARCCA, LLC, an ATS Family of Companies, is seeking a Forensic Mechanical Engineer – Failure Analysis & Accident Reconstruction in Seattle, WA. The role involves performing vehicle, site, and evidence inspections using 3D scanning technology and analyzing equipment failures.

Candidates hold a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with PE licensure; EI/EIT considered. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required; prior testifying experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • PE licensure in one or more states required; EI/EIT considered.
  • Willingness to work in the litigation setting and evaluate cases.
  • Prior testifying experience preferred but not required; strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Background in safety equipment and machinery safety issues is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle, site, and evidence inspections using 3D scanning technology; collect data.
  • Investigate equipment failures and analyze root causes.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to client groups and conferences.
  • Continue professional development through publications and technical papers.
  • Prepare technical reports and provide expert testimony as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Contribute to safety and reliability assessments with testing and evaluation.
