Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking an Real Estate/Construction Advisory Manager to lead multiple client engagements across real estate and construction sectors, including data center, energy, infrastructure, and hospitality projects.

You will plan, direct, and complete engagements, collaborate with partners and staff, and mentor team members while driving business development and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, IT, MIS, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience servicing real estate/construction clients or projects at national level.
• Certifications such as CPA, CFE, CMA, CFA, CCA, CIA, PMP, PMBOK or equivalent required.
• Experience in management consulting, internal audit, regulatory compliance, or forensic engagements preferred.
• Knowledge of federal/state construction labor regulations including the Davis-Bacon Act.
• Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, financial statements, job cost reports, policies, and maps to identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and third parties to understand project control environment and propose controls for gaps.
• Analyze complex financial data to identify trends across multiple sources.
• Ensure compliance with labor requirements on relevant federal funding/tax credit projects.
• Assist in investigations involving fraud, waste, and abuse and regulatory exposure.
• Research regulatory requirements to support defensible conclusions for engagement needs.
• Manage client engagements from planning to budget and completion.
• Collaborate across Grant Thornton service lines and with international colleagues.
• Mentor staff and conduct performance reviews; manage project schedules and financials.
• Assist in recruiting and business development activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
