Job summary

Cell Staff is seeking a licensed Psychologist for a full-time role within correctional facilities across Michigan. The psychologist will conduct comprehensive evaluations, provide psychotherapy, and contribute to treatment planning.

The position emphasizes testimony, collaboration with law enforcement, and supervision of staff. A Doctorate in Psychology and state licensure in good standing are required. Some weekend coverage may be needed.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Psychology; licensed in the state in which the position is located.
• 1+ year of relevant Psychology experience.
• Licensed Psychologist in good standing with the state licensing board.
• Graduation from an accredited educational institution.

Responsibilities

• Testifies at Mental Health Commitment Board hearings and renders judgments on dangerousness.
• Provides information to law enforcement and legal officials.
• Performs psych evaluations of patients in emergency protective custody when required.
• May serve as forensic consultant for emergency hold assessments.
• Conducts comprehensive psych evaluations including intellectual, neuropsychological, and personality components.
• Supervises other psychologists and other staff when needed.
• Provides psychological services including evaluation, psychotherapy, and treatment plan management.
• Acts as consultant to staff on developing effective psychological treatment programs.
• Manages treatment progress reviews and care coordination.
