Business Development Lead | Metric Geo | Structural & Forensic Engineering | Building Enclosures

This position is for a Structural Forensic Engineer with a focus on forensic investigations in civil/structural engineering.

Work Schedule: Hybrid / Remote (6 months hybrid training, then remote)

Metric Geo, a leading global consultancy, provides services to the US built environment. We seek civil or structural engineers interested in field-based roles with flexible schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site investigations for damages caused by storms, hurricanes, and floods.
• Prepare reports on causes, extent of loss, and solutions.
• Provide expert opinions and analysis for claims.
• Act as an expert witness in legal cases.
• Support and mentor engineering staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Bachelor's in Structural or Civil Engineering
• At least 6 years of structural engineering experience
• Strong analytical and inspection skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forensic engineering experience
• Deposition and expert testimony experience
• Storm damage experience

Additional Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• US driving license and willingness to travel
• Ability to climb roofs, scaffolding, ladders, and crawl spaces
