Job summary

The New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute (NMBHI) seeks a licensed behavioral health clinician to provide therapy and assessments in the Forensic Division. Qualifications

  • Licensure in NM as LMSW, LISW, LMHC, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or LPAT required.
  • One year of related experience or acceptable education substitution.
  • Must possess and maintain NM Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psycho-social assessments and develop person centered treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy to adults with acute or chronic mental illness.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and rehabilitation specialists.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute clinical insight to care planning.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and deescalation support as needed.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
  • Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
