Job summary

DLA is seeking an Associate to join our Forensic, Valuation & Litigation Support team in Fairfield, NJ. You’ll support high‑impact engagements and develop analytical and investigative skills across forensic accounting, valuation analyses, and litigation projects.

Ideal candidates have a 4‑year degree in Accounting or Finance, 1+ year of related experience, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 1+ year experience in forensic accounting, business valuation, litigation support, audit, or investigative services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Progress toward CPA, CFE, or CFF certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support forensic accounting, valuation, and litigation engagements through detailed financial analysis.
• Analyze financial statements, general ledger activity, transactions, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare financial models, valuation schedules, and damages analyses using standard methodologies.
• Conduct industry and market research to support valuation assumptions and positions.
• Assist with forensic investigations including transaction reconstruction and document review.
• Prepare clear work papers documenting analyses and conclusions.
• Assist with client-ready deliverables such as reports, exhibits, and schedules.
