Job summary

The role supports students and faculty, maintains secure storage, and coordinates with law enforcement agencies on forensic casework.

The position requires extensive instructional support experience and may prefer advanced degrees or medicolegal laboratory exposure.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to four years of instructional support experience or related lab practice.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute with appropriate coursework.
• Experience handling laboratory safety and 24/7 facilities operations.
• Preferred: Masters in Forensic/Biological Anthropology; medicolegal lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contracts, chain of custody, and curation of human remains for active law enforcement cases.
• Ensures confidentiality and security for each case; oversees 24/7 refrigeration units and environmental controls.
• Oversees lab safety training, equipment maintenance, and backup power for freezers and ovens.
• Supports undergraduate, graduate, and faculty research projects and case documentation.
