CBIZ, Inc. is seeking a Forensic Accounting and Litigation Associate Summer 2027 in New York, NY (Hybrid).

The role involves performing preliminary valuation, forensic analyses, and data input for expert exhibits, while gaining knowledge of accounting frameworks, tax law, and audit methodologies relevant to litigation. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree with internship experience in accounting; CPA eligibility is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; internship in accounting preferred.
• Master's degree in accounting, taxation or related field preferred.
• CPA eligibility; desire to obtain certification encouraged.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and tax project management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate across levels; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary valuation, forensic and appraisal analyses.
• Develop comparative adjusted financial statements and data for exhibits.
• Understand accounting frameworks, tax law and audit methodologies.
• Create forensic/economic models for presenting conclusions.
• Communicate case issues and findings to senior staff and partners.
• Work with discovery team to inventory and reconcile documents.
• Assist in preparing exhibits for expert testimony.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
