Job summary

X4 Technology is recruiting an Interim Forensic Accountant for a remote consulting engagement focused on reviewing complex financial activity across an international business. You will analyse data from multiple sources, delivering evidence-based insights on financial activity, reporting and processes.

Ideal candidates bring strong forensic accounting experience in financial services, with knowledge of U.S.

Qualifications

• Proven background in forensic accounting/audit, within digital banking.
• Knowledge of U.S. Treasury Bills, fixed-income securities and cash management.
• Experience with digital banking, fintech, cryptocurrency exchanges and digital assets.
• Strong understanding of banking, financial markets, accounting, reconciliations and reporting.
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile complex financial information across internal systems and external records
• Reconstruct historical U.S. Treasury Bill activity, including purchases, holdings, maturities, liquidations and subsequent movement of proceeds
• Analyse historical financial activity across multiple accounts, entities, institutions and jurisdictions
• Review the accounting treatment and reporting of financial assets, liabilities and transactions
• Assess reconciliation processes, documentation, authorisation frameworks and financial controls
• Produce detailed analysis, supporting schedules and clear reporting for senior stakeholders

Job description

A leading digital bank are seeking an Interim Forensic Accountant for a specialist consulting engagement focused on reviewing complex financial activity across an international business.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll analyse financial information from multiple internal and external sources, bringing together complex records to provide clear, evidence-based insight across financial activity, reporting and processes.

This is an opportunity for an experienced forensic accounting professional to apply strong financial-services expertise within a fast-moving, multi-jurisdictional environment.

Responsibilities of the Forensic Accountant:

• Review and reconcile complex financial information across internal systems and external records
• Reconstruct historical U.S. Treasury Bill activity, including purchases, holdings, maturities, liquidations and subsequent movement of proceeds

Requirements of the Forensic Accountant:

• Detailed knowledge of U.S. Treasury Bills, fixed-income securities and cash management
• Experience with digital banking, fintech, cryptocurrency exchanges and digital assets.
• Strong understanding of banking, financial markets, accounting, reconciliations and reporting
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to connect information from multiple sources
• Experience working across multiple entities, institutions and/or jurisdictions
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification

This is a fully remote, outside IR35 engagement, initially running for 3 months with scope to extend.

The client is looking for someone who can start immediately, with interviews taking place from Tuesday 8th September onwards.
