Job summary

Muller, Inc. is seeking a Utility Foreman to lead field crews on water and sewer trenching projects at job sites. The role reports to Superintendents and Project Managers and runs Monday through Friday.

This full-time, non-exempt position requires experience with wet utilities, operating large excavators, and strict adherence to safety policies. A valid driver's license and the ability to work in confined spaces are essential.

Qualifications

• Must communicate directly with clients.
• 1 year of experience or more with wet utility.
• Must be able to operate large excavators with precision.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to access secured facilities.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer
• Installs trench boxes as necessary
• Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures
• Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed
• Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job
• Manage quality control and production
• Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner

Physical Requirements

• Employee must be physically fit to perform duties of the job in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 50 lbs.).
• Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
• Other physical requirements include walking, climbing, balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or crawling.
• Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
