Job summary

You will lead field crews, read blueprints, plan crew schedules, and ensure safe, on-time project execution. Experience with conduit and fiber work, plus CDL A, is preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Reads prints and plans crew schedules.
• Leads field crews to meet project goals safely.
• Experience with conduit/fiber placement and pulling work.
• Operates equipment (backhoe, excavator, trencher, plow).
• CDL Class A license is highly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead on various size projects and coordinate crews.
• Ensure accurate timesheets and expense reports.
• Develop work-around procedures to maintain productivity.
• Monitor QA and ensure installations meet specs and standards.
• Enforce safety practices on all crews.
• Coordinate and supervise all project aspects and communications.
• Occasionally perform site surveys for estimates or QA.

Description

Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire an Underground Foreman for projects with our Las Vegas Division . The UG Foreman will be responsible for assisting the supervisor, by leading field crews to meet project goals in a safe manner.

The ideal candidate must be able to read prints, plan crew schedule, assist with estimating, coordinate scheduling, permitting, documentation and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities:

• Leads on various size projects
• Ensures accuracy of timesheets and expense reports
• Develops work-around procedures for maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customer, lack of materials, absenteeism, etc.
• Monitors Quality Assurance and ensures installations meet customer specification and industry standards.
• Ensures safety practices are observed by all crews during their work
• Reports, coordinates and supervises all aspects of a project
• May work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance

Requirements & Qualifications :

• Valid CDLClass A License highly prefered
• Must have previous experience working from blueprints, and specifications
• Experience (3+ years) in conduit placement, fiber placement, manhole placement, hand hole placement, cable and fiber pulling, and inside conduit work
• Must have experience running a crew of 4 to 5
• Equipment operating experience ( backhoe, mini excavator, trencher, plow etc.)
• L imited travel required.

Bilingual English/Spanish experience is a plus
