Overview and Essential Functions

What you’ll do…

1. You will install and repair aerial telephone cable
2. You will repair cut or damaged telephone cables
3. You will place telephone poles and anchors
4. You will use manual tools such as shovels, posthole diggers, and other hand-held tools
5. You will operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, etc.
6. You will set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and safety barriers
7. You will flag traffic when required
8. You will work on special projects as assigned

Who we are looking for…

1. You have knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
2. You have the ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck
3. You have 2-3 years of experience in aerial construction methods and engineering requirements
4. You are a self-starter
5. You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
6. You have experience working in all weather conditions, including inclement weather
7. You have effective communication skills
8. You possess a valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience
