Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking a Construction Foreman to supervise assembly, installation and repair of systems in commercial and industrial facilities in Texas. You will coordinate craft workers, inspect progress, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with technical training or an associate’s degree preferred. Five to seven years of foreman experience and strong knowledge of construction procedures and OSHA guidelines are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises assembly, installation and repair of components and systems.
  • Participates in project planning, scheduling and staffing for construction projects.
  • Coaches and mentors craft workers; coordinates activities and verifies staff certifications.
  • Inspects work for conformance to specifications.
  • Maintains safety by identifying hazards and performing safety observations.
  • Coordinates material storage and tool inventory to support the construction plan.
  • Ensures delivered materials match submittals and assists with equipment needs.
  • Works with tools to meet construction schedules and clarify contract documents.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job description

Job Summary

Supervises, coordinates, inspects and performs the assembly, installation and repair of components, subsystems and systems for the appropriate trade during the construction, tenant finish-out or remodel of commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

Essential Duties
  • Demonstrate proficiency in material take-offs, system layout, and creation of sketches from technical documents such as blueprints and specifications.
  • Play a key role in project planning, scheduling, and staffing to ensure efficient execution of construction projects.
  • Coaches, mentors, and provides guidance to craft workers. Schedules and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers, and operation of equipment and machinery. Verifies all staff certifications when scheduling personnel on a project.
  • Inspects work in progress and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Eliminates construction and job site hazards and performs required safety observations.
  • Coordinates placement and storage of materials, tools and supplies to support the construction plan. Assists in maintaining assigned tool inventory.
  • Verifies that delivered materials and equipment match approved submittals.
  • As required, works with tools to meet construction schedules or other demands.
  • Identifies conflicts or need for clarification in contract documents.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
