Job description

TRP Construction Group, LLC, with locations in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, is a rapidly growing striping company offering career advancement opportunities. TRP is seeking a Pavement Markings Foreman to join our highway striping team and share our core values of enhancing road safety and delivering precision and excellence. TRP Construction Group, LLC conducts background checks, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and controlled substance testing prior to hire.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead highway striping crew to install thermoplastic, waterborne paint, epoxy, and other pavement marking materials.
2. Assign work to laborers based on material and work requirements.
3. Navigate to and from work sites.
4. Coordinate work with Supervisor and communicate daily progress.
5. Evaluate situations and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.
6. Record daily job information, including labor hours, production, material usage, and equipment data.
7. Ensure layout is performed according to specifications.
8. Follow DOT and quality guidelines while maximizing production.
9. Ensure DOT/private inspectors and officials are satisfied with the work.
10. Verify quantities daily.
11. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms properly.
12. Maintain vehicles, ensuring they are clean, in working order, and properly loaded.
13. Control traffic near and around work zones.
14. Monitor safety standards and ensure crews have proper safety equipment.
15. Educate and train laborers in proper marking layout and equipment use.

Qualifications:

• Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• Experience managing crews in the paving industry.
• Stamina to meet demanding schedules, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug testing.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working with mechanics.
• Familiarity with technology, including smartphones and applications.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• CDL Class B with Air Brake (not required).
• ATSSA Certified Basic Flagger.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift and move up to 50-100 pounds.
• Occasionally lift more than 100 pounds.
• Exposure to weather, machinery, traffic, fumes, and airborne particles.
• Work environment noise level is moderate to loud.

Availability:

• Monday – Friday, with some nights and weekends.
• Overtime availability.
• Travel when necessary.
