Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Production Lead to participate in and oversee paste ink manufacturing operations at our Richmond, VA facility. This person is responsible for fostering a positive, safe, and efficient production environment while ensuring high product quality. The successful candidate will be a hands‑on leader who can develop teams, optimize processes, and consistently meet business expectations.

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

Performs a combination of the following responsibilities:

• Review daily & weekly production schedule with MRPs and Site manager
• Directs the work of the production workforce to meet production deadlines
• Operate production equipment proficiently and safely (e.g., three roll mills, mixers, forklift)
• Ensure that all production documentation is completed completely and accurately
• Perform SAP functions related to production with the ability to navigate additional databases as required.
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Participates as a safety committee member
• Works closely with site management to ensure that site meets OTIF targets.
• Oversee daily housekeeping and 5S program for production department
• Facilitates departmental OJT training.
• Participates and provides feedback for employee evaluations, discipline, counsel, coaching, and handling of complaints
• May perform other duties as required, including, but not limited to, Quality Control, Shipping, and Inventory Management.

Requirements / Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read and write English.
