Job Title: Foreman Ironworker

Location: Topeka, KS and surrounding areas

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Foreman/Ironworker to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of ironworking techniques, and a commitment to achieving project objectives within deadlines. As Foreman, you will oversee the installation of structural steel, metal frameworks, and other ironwork materials, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of ironworkers, assigning tasks and overseeing daily operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Ensure all work is performed according to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordinate the delivery and installation of equipment and materials, ensuring timely availability to meet project timelines.
- Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials, conducting inspections and addressing any deficiencies.
- Oversee the layout, and assembly, and installation of steel structures, reinforcing bars, and related components.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and other necessary documentation.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between team members, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to ensure project continuity and resolve conflicts as they arise.
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in ironworking or construction management preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the ironworking field, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- In-depth knowledge of ironworking techniques, tools, and safety protocols.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards in the construction industry.
- Ability to perform physical work and lift heavy materials as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites.
