Responsibilities

This role involves leading, training, and mentoring the project crew, delegating responsibilities, communicating with tradespeople on-site, and tracking project schedules to ensure timely and accurate completion.

• Serve as Lead Technical resource on projects.
• Report on job status and performance.
• Control job costs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with peers, customers, GCs, and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety protocols, including PPE and safe behavior.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including project tracking and safety.
• Oversee 3rd party resources as needed.
• Supervise apprentices and journeymen on specific projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or completed trade/technical program; college degree is a plus.
• 5+ years' experience in commercial construction or related industry.
• Knowledge of construction principles and labor efficiency.
• Strong organizational and judgment skills.
• Ability to give clear instructions and manage work assignments.
• Maintain project labor hours and request change orders as needed.
• Prioritize safety and compliance with safety policies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Punctuality and dependability.
• Proficiency with email, Word, Project Planning Software (e.g., Projectmates).
• Effective time management and delegation skills.
