Job summary

Knife River in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Grading Foreman for a full-time seasonal role. You will oversee all grading operations on site and coordinate with subcontractors, trucking and plant teams to keep projects moving.

The role requires at least 3 years of grading experience, supervisory and strong communication skills, knowledge of grading and paving equipment, GPS operation, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Travel and extreme weather are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven grading experience.
• Supervisory and strong communication skills, plus basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of all grading and paving equipment and operations.
• Valid Idaho driver's license with clean record.
• Reading and understanding plans; ability to set up GPS.
• Finish blading with GPS controls.

Role Overview

Knife River is looking for a Grading Foreman to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of Grading operations

• Efficient at multi-tasking and working under short time constraints
• Assure that all safety and quality measures are taken
• Coordinate with others including subcontractors, trucking and plant and Perform other duties as assigned

This is considered a full-time seasonal position. Travel will be required and working in extreme weather conditions should be expected.

Minimum Qualifications

3 + years of proven Grading experience.

• Supervisory and Strong communication skills (verbal and written)as well as basic computer skills
• Knowledge of all grading and paving equipment and operations
• Valid Idaho driver’s license and clean driving record
• Strong commitment to quality, safety and customer satisfaction
• Reading and understanding plans
• Know how to set up and run GPS systems
• Finish blading with GPS controls
