Job description

Position Overview

The Foreman team member is responsible for supervising the workflow tasks assigned to fabrication department employees, managing project work orders, timelines, product quality, and assuring customer needs are satisfied. Reports to Manager - Fabrication.

Key Job Responsibilities

Fabrication
  1. Assist the Manager - Fabrication in the development and execution of operational plans that achieve all departmental and project goals.
  2. Provide supervision and leadership both by example and direction to all team members.
  3. Manage assigned projects and assigned team members to project completion, ensuring all details are inspected for production quality and customer satisfaction.
  4. Provide leadership and supervision with team members' daily time management.
  5. Maintain production schedule and labor budgets.
  6. Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
  8. Train in other areas in the fabrication shop.
  9. Fabricate and assemble components if necessary.
  10. Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  11. Other duties assigned.
Safety
  1. Follow all applicable OSHA and corporate safety protocols and regulations.
  2. Enforce best practices with safety; use of tools, machinery, equipment while providing training on safety gear and procedures.
  3. Maintain a safe working environment by maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Job Qualifications

  1. Minimum 5+ years related supervisory experience related to fabrication, production, exhibits, special events, or project management.
  2. Strong working knowledge of CNC machining, metal fabrication, and finishing methods required.
  3. Working knowledge of current production standard operating procedures, safety protocols, materials, and installation methods unique to our business.
  4. Working knowledge of minor electrical work; receptacles, LED lighting, lift mechanisms.
  5. Proven supervisory experience in leading multiple projects and team members.
  6. Delegate responsibilities to team members and contractors.
  7. Ability to interpret technical documentation and artistic renderings to support fabrication and production.
  8. Ability to organize projects and teams through multiple departmental input.
  9. Communicate verbally, with computers, apps, and relevant software.
  10. Experience in leading in a collaborative team environment.

Work Environment

Work performed in a shop environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Fabrication Department, work completed in a temperature-controlled environment with exposure to dirt, sand, dust, and chemicals. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
