Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock is seeking an Electrical Foreman to lead campus-wide electrical power and distribution projects. You will manage electrical and electronics teams, review plans, and oversee contractors on AC Facilities Operations projects.

Candidates should have a Technical Certificate and completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship, plus a Master Electrician license. Strong leadership and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

  • Technical certificate and completion of an electrical apprenticeship are required.
  • Master Electrician certification is required.
  • 7 years in related field with 5 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Delegates and prioritizes work assignments for electrical staff and contractors.
  • Schedules contractors for electrical procedures and maintains records on contracted man hours and submits proper requisition for time and materials.
  • Implements, manages, maintains, and follows the AC Electrical Safety Program. Has capability to obtain any required permits for a project.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of locations of electrical distribution panels, branch circuit panels, emergency power panels, transfer switches, emergency generators, etc.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires and evaluates qualified staff, managing performance by assessing competency on an ongoing basis and during annual performance appraisals.
  • Participates in fire and disaster plan as outlined in the Emergency Procedures Manual and assures job sites are clean and safe and that all AC Personnel and contractors follow safe work practices.
  • Develops and maintains staffing plans based on volumes, anticipated workload, skill mix and competency requirements.
