Job summary

Vertical Communications LLC in Oklahoma City, OK is hiring a Foreman 1 to lead a crew on wireless tower projects. You will oversee safety, quality, budgets, and timelines while climbing towers and installing antenna equipment.

  • Ability to travel away from home, including weekends.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the crew from project start through completion, ensuring safety, quality standards, budget adherence, and timelines.
  • Climb and work on communications towers; install, replace, and repair antenna equipment.
  • Direct and supervise installation and maintenance of wireless radio and antenna systems on towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures.
  • Review documentation with the crew to prepare for the build, assemble materials, and determine installation methods.
  • Supervise tracking of on-site inventory and materials.
  • Perform tower inspections, inventories, and audits as needed.
  • Collect, review, and submit on-site closeout documentation per deliverable timelines.
  • Train crew members on proper safety and quality standards to align with the Crew Career Development Program.
  • Verify that crew members have proper certifications and skillsets for the scope of work.
  • Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies as needed.
  • Submit daily on-site progress reports, noting schedule delays and open material needs.

Preferred Experience
  • 3–5 years of wireless telecommunications industry experience.
  • 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to perform fiber, sweep, and PIM testing.
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the schedule.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train on proper work and safety procedures.
