Job summary

Responsibilities

• Ensure all fleet repairs meet company standards and are timely.
• Ensure parts are expensed to the correct Marten unit.
• Schedule unit flow into/out of the shop to ensure dispatch readiness.
• Review and resolve driver maintenance complaints.
• Delegate work assignments as applicable.
• Follow company and safety policies at all times.
• Monitor technicians to ensure quality work and minimize indirect labor.
• Oversee performance and provide guidance as needed.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as required.
• Audit warranty parts tagging and paperwork.
• Keep empty trucks available for new drivers.
• Open/close and review daily repair orders.
• Collaborate with Service Manager on hiring, PTO, and disciplinary issues.
• Coordinate with Service Manager for outside work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all repairs made to fleet comply with company standards which includes high quality and low expense within a timely manner to meet company goals for fleets cost per mile.
• Ensure that all parts are expensed to a Marten unit.
• Responsible for scheduling of all units into and out of the shop to ensure availability for dispatch.
• Responsible for reviewing and resolving driver complaints on maintenance issues.
• Delegate work assignments as applicable
• Ensure that all company and safety policies are followed.
• Accountable for indirect labor hours accumulated by technicians to insure it is kept as low as possible.
• Monitor the performance of technicians to ensure proper work is completed.
• Performs additional duties and special projects as needed.
• Audit and confirm all warranty parts are tagged and have correct paperwork submitted.
• Oversee process so all empty trucks are available for new drivers.
• Open/ Close and review daily repair orders.
• Work with Service Manager on personnel issues including hiring, PTO, and disciplinary issues.
• Coordinate with Service Manager for any outside work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Abilities/Skills Required

Have basic math skills and aptitude for the position. Able to read and write English language and demonstrate computer skills.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be able to stand for long hours. Able to work various shifts and days.
