Overview

Our rapidly-expanding company (Basement Waterproofing and Foundation Repair of Michigan) has need for Construction Foremen. We specialize in permanently solving below-grade leakage in homes and buildings with our patented method. PREVIOUS WATERPROOFING EXPERIENCE A BIG PLUS.

We have a tremendous amount of work since we reopened and will need to add two to three new crews to fulfill all our customers waterproofing needs. We are hiring qualified people to start immediately.

These are long-term, full-time positions that offer benefits (medical, dental and optical) after 90 days, and we seek earnest and dependable individuals who enjoy physical labor, are presentable and possess a customer service/problem-solving mentality.

Foreman should already be experienced in construction, cement/masonry, excavation and other skilled trades and be willing to learn as well as mentor others just entering the skilled trade domain. Laborers will learn skills on the job but need to have some experience in construction, plumbing or concrete.

This is physical, hands-onlabor, in almost any kind of weather.

COMPANY EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license, with reliable transportation to and from work/job site. Foremen must be able and approved to drive Company trucks.
• Be able to pass random, monitored drug screens, as requested.
• The physical strength to repetitively lift fifty (50) pounds as well as move items of various weights and sizes; the ability to run heavy equipment, with proper training.
• Punctuality and a good work ethic.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Foreman – Proven experience as a construction foreman, regardless of trade. (We will be training you in this unique trade).
• Extreme flexibility with hours of work. Being on time is a must! Construction can begin as early as 6.30 a.m.
• Knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and safety guidelines.
• Understanding or the ability to understand electrical and hydraulic systems.
• An ability to read or learn to read drawings, blueprints and plans.
• Foreman need excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• All applicants need the ability to communicate with each other and our customers effectively.
• Aptitude in math, problem-solving.
• High school diploma and/or a diploma in a skilled trade.

We offer paid out of state travel for qualified applicants after initial employment period.

JOB DUTIES – FOREMAN

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of work crew team members.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities while on-site.
• Supervise and offer training and mentoring to workers and tradespeople.
• Maintain communication with office-based management to ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
• Resolve problems immediately (with or without assistance) as they arise.
• Provide ongoing progress reports to managers, homeowners, etc.
• Previous basement waterproofing experience; any previous experience in construction trades and associated skills.

Foreman can earn $50,000 – $80,000 per year with the right training and experience.

Full benefits available after 90 days including medical, dental, optical and life insurance. Paid vacation after 1 year. All applicants must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and be able to obtain an MDOT certification and chauffeur’s license.
