Job description

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of equivalent driving experience:

    Mover, Delivery Driver, Truck Driver, UPS Driver, Truck Hiker

  • Experience providing vehicle mechanical maintenance

  • Management experience

  • Worked for at least 3 years for a moving company

  • Live within a 7-mile radius of the Metro Area

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record for at least 5 years

  • Reliable personal transportation

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs without the use of equipment

  • Own a smartphone with a data plan

  • Be a great team player and effective leader

  • Fluent in English with good communication skills

You'll be working on things like this

  • Manage and train moving staff

  • Coordinate team members, trucks, driving routes, equipment, and other assets

  • Manage equipment inventory and make equipment and material purchases

  • Provide site audits

  • Present New Standard Operating Procedures at monthly team meetings

  • Split mover role where a percentage of hours will be applied as billable time to customer moves

  • Drive commercial moving trucks up to 30 feet

  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching to subordinate Moving Associates

  • Help move furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, commercial equipment, etc.

  • Ensure team members adhere to our Code of Conduct while representing the Moving Fellows brand.

You'll be expected to provide this

  • Update Equipment Inventory Tracking sheets

  • Provide maintenance, cleaning, and vehicle inspection

  • Ability to carry forth work plans 'in the field' while assessing risk

  • Provide safety training and skills tests to new candidates

  • Great communication between central command and field teams

  • Adherence to company work and safety procedures, protocols, and policies

  • Ability to quickly understand and adopt new mobile technologies

  • Work under tight timetables in a dynamic environment where schedules are fluid

  • Possess a well-groomed, professional appearance

We are currently looking for seasoned professionals in the moving arena. It is preferred that candidates for this position have over five years of moving experience working for an actual moving company and have a CDL. The position will require driving 26’ box trucks to jobs within the metro area. To be successful in this role, you must be able to solve problems with emerging information, be a great team player, and be committed to 'getting the job done'.
