Overview

Jobs in this group are typically responsible for managing and providing resources that support teaching and learning. They handle the acquisition and distribution of materials, support faculty in integrating resources into their curriculum, and ensure access to educational tools. These roles may involve teaching, translating or supporting language learning and programs, including developing materials, selecting delivery mechanisms, planning and running classes, and assessing participants' progress. Translation support may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Individually contribute in support roles within an organization, often in direct service, operational, technical or administrative functions. Spends the majority of time delivering support services or activities, typically under supervision.
• Assist with planning and executing educational or language programs; develop materials; select delivery methods; run classes or courses; assess participant progress; provide translation support as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School or equivalent; completion of accredited interpreter training program required.
• Experience: None.
• Licensure: Required licensure must be attained within one year of hire or transfer; see position specifications for accepted licensure.

Physical Demands

• Frequent traveling (distance: minimum 1 mile daily).
• Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Walking or standing for a significant degree may be required.

Pay range: $19.88 - $33.94 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
