Associate Attorney – Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation

Position Overview: We seek an experienced Partner Attorney to join our New York foreclosure department. This remote role is based in New York and requires 5+ years of experience in representing lenders in mortgage foreclosure litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Independently handle mortgage foreclosure cases from inception to resolution.
  2. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and court documents.
  3. Manage a foreclosure litigation caseload, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  4. Represent clients in court, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
  5. Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
  6. Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to deliver top-notch legal services.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the New York State Bar.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in foreclosure litigation.
  4. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  5. Proven track record in handling litigation from inception to trial.
  6. Familiarity with LPS/Black Knight and Tempo.
  7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Must have a client book to bring along.
