Job summary

Kate Spade is seeking a Planning Manager to drive North America sales forecasting, margin, and inventory planning for stores and eCommerce. You will lead monthly reforecasting by category, analyze trends, and partner with Buying to optimize discount strategies and markdowns.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, delivering cross-functional insights, and maintaining accurate KPI reporting. A strong planning background in retail and advanced Excel are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of prior planning experience in a vertical retail organization.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task with strong time management.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, qualitative and quantitative.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, sumif).
• Experience using a planning system and quick learning of new functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly sales, margin, and inventory reforecasting by category across channels.
• Analyze historical trends and in-season performance to inform decisions.
• Own weekly and monthly promotional event planning with Buying.
• Review and approve seasonal markdowns and pricing strategies.
• Manage seasonal purchase budget with Buying and Global Planning.
• Deliver insights during business reviews and investment reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize inventory and support strategies.
• Oversee weekly product reporting and KPI visibility.
