Rydell of Independence is hiring Ford Service Technicians and Mobile Service Technicians in Independence, IA. The role offers full-time, non-exempt status with a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and access to a brand-new air-conditioned shop with Ford factory training.

You will diagnose, repair, and service Ford and other makes, with opportunities for career advancement within a dealer-supported program that emphasizes quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Qualificações

• Previous automotive repair or service technician experience.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Ford and other makes of vehicles.
• Perform engine, brake, steering, suspension, and HVAC repairs.
• Diagnose electrical issues and drivability concerns.
• Use diagnostic equipment and service information.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
• Complete warranty repairs per guidelines.
• Communicate findings with Service Advisors.
• Test-drive to verify repairs and ensure quality.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Ford and other makes of vehicles.
• Perform engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and HVAC repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, drivability concerns, and mechanical issues.
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service information.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative services.
• Complete Ford warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and recommend necessary repairs.
• Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure quality workmanship.
• Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations with Service Advisors.
• Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• For Mobile Service Technicians, perform assigned maintenance and repairs at customer locations.

What We're Looking For

• Previous automotive repair or service technician experience.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems.
• A commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a service team.
• Ability to manage multiple repair assignments efficiently.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ford Motor Company Certifications
• ASE Certifications
• Ford Dealership or Automotive Service Experience
• Automotive Electrical and Diagnostic Repair Experience
• Experience with Ford Diagnostic Equipment and Manufacturer Repair Procedures
