Job summary

Appel Ford, Inc. is seeking an Automotive Sales Associate to join our new car sales team. The ideal candidate will have experience selling and enjoy working with people, in a Ford dealership that values service to customers and the community.

This role emphasizes meeting sales goals, explaining vehicle features, and guiding customers through the buying process. The position offers competitive pay and benefits including health insurance, vacation/PTO, and a 401K with matching.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive sales preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a team mindset.
• Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record; ability to pass background check/drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership and helping them select a vehicle.
• Sell a minimum number of vehicles based on goals defined by the sales manager.
• Explain product performance and benefits to prospects and discuss all optional equipment.
• Review daily/weekly/monthly performance to optimize time and planning.
• Offer test drives and obtain proper identification prior to test drive.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs
• Selling a minimum number of vehicles based on the goals and objectives defined by the sales manager
• Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase. Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
• Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively
• Offering test drives to all prospects and following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification prior to test drive

Requirements:

• Automotive sales background preferred
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Strong written and communication skills
• Valid driver's license required and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
