Job summary

Kendall Auto Group in Eugene, OR is seeking an on-site Mobile Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs at customer locations using a fully equipped van.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform software updates, and carry out recalls, while explaining findings to customers and providing quotes.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to operate a wide variety of vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
  • Strong automotive diagnostic skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • On-site maintenance and repairs at customer locations using a mobile service van.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery replacements, fluids, tire rotations, recalls, brakes, and wiper replacements.
  • Diagnostics & repairs: troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform warranty repairs per manufacturer specs.
  • Software updates, diagnostic scanning, and accessory installations.
  • Explain vehicle conditions to customers, provide repair estimates, and deliver invoices.
  • Inventory & van management: keep the van clean, organized, and stocked.

Job description

Job duties:

Travels to customer locations (homes or offices) to perform on‑site vehicle maintenance and repairs using a fully equipped mobile service van. This customer‑facing role requires strong automotive diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Core Responsibilities

On‑Site Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, battery replacements, fluid exchanges, tire rotations, software updates, recalls, brake services, and wiper replacements.

Diagnostics & Repairs: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, execute warranty repairs, and perform recalls to manufacturer specifications.

Software & Tech: Handle software updates, diagnostic scanning, and accessory installations.

Customer Service: Interact directly with clients to explain vehicle conditions, provide repair estimates, and deliver invoices, complimentary professional multi‑pint vehicle inspections with pictures and video

Inventory & Van Management: Keep the mobile service vehicle clean, organized, and adequately stocked with the necessary tools and parts
