Job summary

Sames Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform diagnostics and repairs using state-of-the-art equipment. The role requires explaining findings to advisors and customers, and staying current with evolving automotive technology.

Ideal candidates have Ford Certification, ASE (a plus), and high school diploma or equivalent, with strong customer service and the ability to work in English and Spanish. Must possess tools and a valid driver’s license for on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Ford Certification is required.
• Experience in automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair.
• Strong customer service skills and motivation are essential.
• Have appropriate hand tools for the services performed.
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as scanners and diagnostic gear.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and environments.
• Ability to bend, lift, and maneuver; comfortable with physical tasks.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish; reading and writing.
• Maintain a valid driver license and insurability.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently perform services using state-of-the-art automotive equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle systems to specifications.
• Explain discovered diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and customers when needed.
• Continuously learn new technical information and tools in formal training.
• Record findings on approved documents to enable accurate estimates and repairs.
• Assist technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain and secure work tools; keep a clean, hazard-free workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
