  • Ford Diesel Certified Technicians highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience, preferred.
  • ASE Certification preferred.

Job description

Tuttle Click Automotive Group is lookingfor an experienced individual to fill our Ford Diesel Technician position at the Ford/Lincoln Irvine dealership.

Compensation:

Diesel Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.00 and $130.00. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit. Additionally this position may also pay a retention bonus of $1.25 per every booked hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on Diesel Vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standards
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
  • Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques

Qualifications:

  • Ford Diesel Certified Technicians highly preferred
  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience, preferred
  • ASE Certification preferred
  • A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
  • Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
