Job summary

Ace Motor Sales in New Jersey is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has Ford certification, ASE certification, and 2+ years of service technician experience.

Duties include diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicle systems and communicating repair estimates to customers. We offer competitive pay starting at $21/hour, health and dental insurance, a union position, and opportunities for growth within the dealership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• Ford Certification.
• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer competencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

We are looking for a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and Ford certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required

• Ford Certification

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
