Job summary

Tallahassee Ford is expanding its service team and seeking experienced Ford-certified automotive technicians who take pride in quality repairs and efficient service. Compensation is flat-rate up to $50 per hour based on Ford certifications, with a strong focus on diagnostic abilities and customer care.

Qualifications

At least two years of automotive service technician experience preferred.
Ford certification required.
ASE certification preferred.
Previous Ford dealership experience preferred.
B-level or higher qualifications including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair experience.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
Positive attitude and commitment to continued professional development.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership and Ford standards.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
Perform warranty repairs according to Ford procedures and specifications.
Communicate diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and estimated completion times clearly to the Service Advisor.
Document all findings, repairs, and required information accurately.
Ensure repairs are completed correctly and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all dealership policies and applicable safety regulations.
