Cavender Ford in Columbus, TX is seeking a skilled Certified Technician (Ford and/or ASE) to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of Ford vehicles. The role requires active ASE or Ford factory training certifications, 2+ years of dealership or independent shop experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Join a high-volume service team with paid training, ongoing certification support, and a structured weekday schedule with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Active ASE certifications and/or Ford factory training certifications required.
• 2+ years of professional automotive repair experience in a dealership or independent shop.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, brake system overhauls, suspension work, steering repairs, and HVAC service efficiently.
• Operate diagnostic scanning tools, electrical meters, and special equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform warranty repairs and factory recalls strictly in accordance with Ford manufacturer specifications.
• Work closely with Service Advisors to communicate diagnostic findings, required parts, and time estimates for additional recommended services.
• Adhere to Fixed Right First Time standards, performing multi-point safety inspections and thorough test drives to guarantee vehicle safety.
