Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks a Force Management Lead to direct headquarters force management and administrative support for a Joint Staff element in the National Capital Region. The role focuses on synchronizing high-volume actions, travel, and executive support for senior leaders, with an active TS/SCI clearance and periodic travel.

The ideal candidate has eight or more years in force management or related fields, experience guiding staff actions, and proficiency with Defense Travel System

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience in a related field.
• Eight+ years of progressively responsible experience in force management or related mission areas.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience managing senior-level staff actions, taskings, and executive correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day force management and administrative support across the Joint Staff element.
• Direct manpower actions, position management, staffing packages, and records coordination.
• Manage executive support operations for senior leaders, including calendars and briefing prep.
• Receive and monitor staff actions from higher HQ with ownership and quality control.
• Plan protocol for distinguished visitors and senior officers, ensuring seamless engagements.
• Oversee complex travel using the Defense Travel System with proper documentation.
• Establish operating rhythms, SOPs, and dashboards for leadership visibility.
• Coordinate with security, facilities, and information management across HQ.
• Guide Data Management and Automation Specialists to improve workflows and data quality.
• Identify friction points and implement approved process improvements.
• Prepare concise briefings and status reports for senior leadership.
• Represent LMI professionally in high-tempo engagements requiring discretion.
