Job summary

Nike offers a 10-week paid internship in the Nike Footwear Product Creation team in the United States. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Technical Development, Global Sourcing and Manufacturing, and Innovation, focusing on athlete needs, sustainability, and performance.

You'll contribute to materials development, product design, performance validation, and testing, translating insights into concepts that meet cost targets and on-time delivery expectations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with graduation between Winter 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Knowledge of materials, formation, construction, and manufacturing.
• Proficiency using MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Work across functions to create innovative footwear products.
• Understand athlete needs and apply that understanding to develop concepts and improve performance.
• Collaborate within the cross-functional Nike matrix across Technical Development, Global Sourcing and Manufacturing, and Innovation.
• Solve complex challenges and bring fresh perspectives to processes and solutions.
• Research and investigate materials for product lines with a focus on sustainability and performance.
• Work with Design and Operations to bring products to life.
• Test ideas to ensure Nike products are fit to serve athletes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Textiles, or a related field
