Job summary

Vibram, a leader in performance footwear, invites you to join the Portland Studio as a Designer I on the Inline Development team to create innovative outsole and midsole concepts for outdoor, lifestyle, and vocational products.

Work with a cross‑functional team of Designers, Developers, Innovators, and Performance Experts to turn bold ideas into market‑defining sole solutions. Build tech packs, sketch concepts, and present designs to customers and Vibram colleagues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Footwear Design, or related field.
1–3 years of footwear design experience, including internships.
Strong passion for footwear, design and consumer-driven product creation.
Solid conceptual skills and understanding of form/function.
Ability to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs).
Strong sketching, visualization, illustration and rendering skills.

Responsibilities

Create compelling design concepts for footwear soling with guidance from Design & Development teams and customer input.
Adhere to a product development calendar from concept to production mold stages and communicate design issues across teams.
Create technical documentation packages for global mold teams.
Present design concepts, storytelling, and rationale to customers and Vibram colleagues and stakeholders.
