South Burlington School District is seeking a Varsity Assistant Football Coach to support JV and middle school athletics. You will assist with scheduling, transportation, practices, and game-day operations while promoting sportsmanship and healthy competition.

The role emphasizes organization, leadership, and collaboration with the Athletic Director and Principal to ensure safe, effective programs for student-athletes in district settings.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in organizing and leading a comprehensive sports program is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge and/or demonstrated continued learning in health and fitness area is preferred.
• Must have effective organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of computers and fitness equipment is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others is needed.
• Must have knowledge of existing system, state and league regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling, transportation, and practice preparations.
• Maintain equipment inventory and secure facilities.
• Ensure health certifications, parent consent, and eligibility documentation.
• Supervise athletes during transport, in locker rooms, and at events.
• Lead game day activities and supervise staff.
• Attend clinics and stay current on sports trends.
