Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program.
• Successful completion of orthopedic surgery residency and subsequent foot and ankle fellowship.
• Licensed as a physician in the State of Maryland. Board certified as appropriate to specialty.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas.
• Complete history and physical examination and document in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Write standard orders per hospital policy and for pre-existing conditions.
• Discuss findings with providers and staff as needed.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Initiate referrals to appropriate departments and community resources.
• Document progress notes and treatment plans for each visit.
• Establish medical diagnoses in accordance with contract and policies.
• Refer acute or life-threatening conditions to Emergency Department or specialist.
