Job summary

Tech24 is seeking an experienced Technican to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment in Newark, NJ. The role involves preventive maintenance, accurate documentation, and clear communication with customers.

You will manage truck parts, participate in ongoing training, and may be required to join an on-call rotation. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50+ lbs are essential for this field position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial cooking equipment repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
• Strong gas and/or electric troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and crawl in tight quarters.
• Must own industry-standard hand tools.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Represent the company professionally while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as assigned.

Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is $30-$40 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced expertise in commercial hot-side equipment may be considered toward the higher end of the range.
