Job summary

Alliance Mechanical - a Tech24 Company in Bensenville, IL, seeks an experienced Hot Side Commercial Foodservice Technician to drive a company vehicle to customer sites, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen equipment. You will work independently, solving problems quickly while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires strong technical skills, a customer-focused approach, and willingness to travel within the region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial foodservice repair experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Own industry's standard hand tools.
• Ability to travel extensively within the region.
• On-call rotation including some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen equipment.
• Inspects equipment and components to ensure safe operation.
• Communicates status of repairs to customers and branch staff.
• Completes service tickets according to procedures.
• Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are on vehicle.

Compensation Range: $28-$45 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary:

The Hot Side Commercial Foodservice Technician is responsible for driving a company vehicle to and from customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment. To be a successful Commercial Foodservice Technician, you should be able to work independently and solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. To excel in this position, you should have strong technical skills, be a master at trouble shooting and be an expert in customer service.

Key Responsi bilities:

• Troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen equipment.
• Inspects the commercial kitchen equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation.
• Communicates with customer and branch staff regarding status of repairs to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customers.
• Completes service tickets according to procedures.
• Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are stocked on vehicle.
• Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tech24 standards.
• Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate.
• Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial foodservice repair experience
• Previous experience as a commercial technician
• Mechanically inclined with a hunger to learn new techniques and methods
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Superb customer service skills
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Standard computer skills
• Own industry's standard hand tools
• Ability to travel extensively within the region
• Ability to work some nights, weekend, and holidays for on-call rotation with your department (frequency varies with department size)

Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is $28- $45 per hour . Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, manufacture certifications, or specialized expertise may be considered at the higher end of the range.
