Job summary

Compass Group USA’s Canteen division seeks a Food Unit Lead for the Cafe at Tyson's in Monroe, NC. Coordinates food-service staff, ensures a quality dining experience, and supports daily operations from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with Saturday availability.

Responsibilities include overseeing food prep, sanitation, safety, and portion control; training staff; and handling cash, inventory, and reports. On-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or food service management experience is required.
• Experience with cash handling and basic accounting procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of food-service staff to ensure smooth service.
• Oversee preparation and service of food and beverages per company standards.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and portion control across shifts.
• Train and assign staff to promote efficiency and excellence in service.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and daily reports as required by policy.
• Order supplies and ensure timely inventory management and replenishment.
