An entry-level cook should have good communication and basic culinary skills. The ideal candidate will have some cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Food Truck Cooks should possess professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures. They will work in the prep kitchen, in the food truck, and require moderate supervision and training. This position involves outdoor work/in a covered outdoor kitchen.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and instructions.
2. Execute cooking and plating recipes under supervision, ensuring consistency with standards and presentation guidelines.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations. Clean the food truck after service, including filtering fryers and unloading dishes.
4. Contribute to daily mise en place by preparing sauces, dressings, and other essential ingredients.
5. Follow all food safety protocols for handling, sanitation, storage, and rotation to maintain high cleanliness standards.
6. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
7. Organize food deliveries, store new products properly, and maintain food rotation.

Wage Information:

The salary range is $20.90 to $26.00 per hour. The starting rate is $20.90. Salaries are determined based on experience, qualifications, and education.

Qualifications:

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Some previous experience required.
• Desire to satisfy customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand long hours in a hot kitchen.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive duties.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Possess a food handler’s card.
